About This Course

Malnutrition encompasses both undernutrition and overnutrition. It is a global problem that affects many children worldwide, with varying prevalence depending age, gender, and region.

This course has been designed to provide an overview of malnutrition, with a focus on undernutrition, in children and adolescents aged 2–19 years. Topics include definitions, causes and consequences, identification, and management. It should take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
