About This Course
Malnutrition encompasses both undernutrition and overnutrition. It is a global problem that affects many children worldwide, with varying prevalence depending age, gender, and region.
This course has been designed to provide healthcare professionals an in-depth review of malnutrition, with a focus on undernutrition, in children and adolescents (2–19 years of age). It is intended to build on the knowledge gained in our 1-hour Malnutrition Fundamentals course: Malnutrition in Children and Adolescents – Fundamentals. While we recommend taking the Fundamentals course first, you may jump straight into the Advanced Masterclass if you feel you have some underlying knowledge of malnutrition.
If you would like to learn more about this topic in children under 2 years of age, please check out our course Fast Facts: Infant Faltering Growth which focuses on the first 1,000 days of life.
This course has a 2-year expiry date of 12th May 2027. If you complete this course after its expiry date, please double check all claims in this course with up-to-date, peer-reviewed information, as the diagnostic or treatment landscape may have changed.
